League points simulator
Every league argues about its points system. The argument is usually abstract, because nobody can see what a change would actually do. Paste a season in below, pick two systems, and the table shows you exactly which players move and by how much.

What the systems do
Field size scaled
Points are a placement multiplier times the number of players, so a 30 player game is worth two and a half times a 12 player game. First in a field of 30 scores 300, and fourth in that same game scores 180, which beats a win in a 12 player game at 120. This is the model Chiprally runs.
Flat placement
A win is a win: 10 points whether you beat 40 players or 7. Simple to explain and easy to run on paper, but it quietly rewards playing the quietest game on the calendar.
Percentage of field beaten
Your score is the share of the field you finished ahead of, out of 100, so only the last finisher scores nothing. That keeps mid pack players engaged, but it compresses the gap between winning and simply finishing.
The fourth option adds a fixed bonus for every game played on top of flat placement points. It is the usual answer to the attendance problem, and the usual complaint about it is that it pays people for turning up. Turn the bonus up and down and watch how quickly it decides the season.
Run this on your real league
Chiprally computes standings like this every time you enter a result, across seasons, with achievements, trophies, and a public leaderboard your players can check on their phones. Chiprally runs the field size scaled model, and its placement multipliers, points for secondary games and bonus points are all configurable. The flat, percentage and attendance systems here are for comparison, not settings you can switch on.
